The old world cometh; are you ready?

Hello and long time no see!

Small update, got one of the companies sold, and then I have had some well needed vacation days.

This doesn’t mean I’ve been sitting idly. No, not at all!

This vacation coincided quite nicely with the release of Warhammer: The old world, and gave me time to muster an army of my own. 3D printed of course, because I’m cheap like that (and could not snag a preorder, dang-it).

Starting with the infantry, 2 blocks of Men-at-arms of 18 men.

These are the models I had to really buy, as the free ones I found where not to my liking. These are Highland Miniatures stl files from Myminifactory, printed on my Mars 2 Pro 3D printer. The only thing I have modified is the hight of the miniatures, as these come scaled to 30mm.

I personally liked how they looked as 30mm, so I scaled the to 92,5% scale. ( not the grail monk or the triptych. Grail monk is cobbeled together by me from a grail monk body and the triptych is scaled down model of a real one)

Next, The Battle pilgrims with the grail Reliaque.

These and the rest of the army come from the same source. Juhász Gergely on Myminifactory. These where all free (score!) and are fantastic for the price (ha-ha real funny ). I love this model. The thought of being carried around as a skeleton by devoted poor zealots is too frigging funny.

Onwards! Or should I say CHAAAAARGE!

Brilliant models, Knight-of-the-realms are not too detailed but enough to make them stand out. I might have printed them on the small side relative to the real GW models, but Scale is bonkers any ways, so who cares. One small thing I found when painting them…

I hate painting horses. Ironic, isn’t it?

Much better! Here we have a catapult. Fun story; In the first and only game to date, they have not yet fired. They managed to get swiped turn one against my friends Tomb Kings horse archers that managed to flank me. Fun stuff. Models great though.

Now we are talking! A Paladin/Baron/Duke on foot with a Great weapon, a Paladin/Baron/Duke on Warhorse/Barded warhorse & a Paladin/Baron/Duke on Pegasus/Barded Pegasus. Funny to be able to proxy ones own stuff without getting a WeLl AcHtUaLly ..

Here is my only criticism, I’m not really digging the Pegasus to be honest, that’s why I have only one.

More heroes! Here is a Damsel on foot And a Prophetess on warhorse. I really need to print a horn to turn it into an Unicorn. Though that would mean I need to change the base…

Now to my definitive favorite, the GREEN KNIGHT!

This model is AMAZING.

nope, no other comments. Hands down my favorite.

Phew, that’s a lot of models. And still I’m not done. I have 6 Questing knights, 6 Grail knights and 6 Knights-of-the-realm still to do, but then I’m finished.

When done, this army will be over 2400p, before magic items. Looking forward to the glorious field of battle against my mates when they get their armies painted.

I’ll try to post stuff more often, promise!

Cheers!

-Marc
