3D wars

Hey and welcome back!

Yes yes, busy with work yadda yadda. Anyway!

If you saw the headline, It’ 3D printing time!

Model from Thingiverse, custom gun modeled on

I have realized that I really suck at painting vehicles, and also I didn’t think things though, and screwed up the peg for it. As you can see, it’s tilting back a bit. And I can’t really fix it. Live and learn.

model from thingiverse, custom barrels modeled because it looked a bit bare. removable to boot!

Haah, much easier! I’ll think I’ll stick to imperial vehicles in the future.

model from thingiverse, had to clean up a lot and print it without hollowing. Weighs absolutely too much!

Sigh, that’s some wobbly guns alright.. Same problem as the battle bus, I didn’t think things through and the result is a bit tilted model.

Model from thingiverse, also guy from thingiverse. Loving the Green metal effect! And yes the panels are symmetrically aligned. Fight me!

We’ll, this one I’m quite happy with. The guy is a 3D printed fleet trooper, but I think he came out 10% too small.

A bit of advice for the people interested in 3D printing bigger stuff for legion:

  1. If its A flying model, for the love of things remember think about HOW it is going to fly. Fix the stand before you print it.
  2. If you print a resin base, if you hollow it, IT WILL BE WOBBLY IN THE MIDDLE! (FDM to go)
  3. Check the model before you print it
  4. If you need to cut the model to fit it to your print bed, It probably won’t align unless your printer is seriously good.

until next time!

Cheers!
